Second Public Speaking Event

Yesterday I went to the Methodist church for a lunchin thing that they do every two weeks they had a guest speaker this time. The speaker was Keith Becker the brother of a Kearney kid who was killed in a drunk driving accedent last year. He told us the story of his brother. What happened was his brother used his ID to purchase alcohol and him and his friends went to a party and drank. At about 2 am Todd and two of his friends were speeding down the streets of Kearney when his friend hit a parked car on the side of the street at about 60 mph. Todd was killed and the other two were badly injured. Keith blames himself for what happened because he gave Todd his ID to purchase the alcohol that they drank and he thinks that if he didn't do that then this may have never happened. His speech was very heart felt you could see the emotion on his face when he gave it. He is a really good speaker he really got you into the story of his brother and the choices that were made. There was about 40 people in attendance and not one of them made as much as a peep during the whole thing some people were in tears after hearing the story of what him and his family have had to go through in the last year just because a few young people made some really bad decisions. Keith was going down the wrong path too and he said that he is lucky that nothing like that has happened to him. He now has steightened his life out. And has stopped drinking completely.

It's a sad way for someone to learn the bad effects of drinking and driving. I'm totally against it!! My children know this and respect and agree with it.
If I went to this speaking event I would have been crying my eyes out! Good luck on your studies, and hope you stay now in the U.S.!
